I have been programming MOTOTRBO for a while now and now I have this issue I hope you can help me with:I programmed a DGR6175 but now I cannot read the repeater again.I used the same cable, the same PC and same CPS to program another repeater and everything worked alright. Now, when I connect the repeater, I get the MOTOTRBO Radio #3 in Windows Device Manager but only for a few seconds. After that, the repeater disconnects again, and my PC plays the 'USB device disconnected' sound, as if the repeater was rebooting itself before loading the interface that communicates with my PC. It dissappears from the device manager and after a while it appears again and keeps doing the same plug in - plug off. What could be the matter? Hi Wayne,I've noticed a problem with a new laptop running Win 10 Pro 64-bit. I have the latest V13 build 666 CPS and with recent firmware radios, all is good.
However, I have a R01.07 firmware radio and device manager gives a yellow triangle stating device not working correctly. Because of this, there is no IP connectivity. If I use another laptop to upgrade the firmware to R01.12.17 then I can see the radio on my laptop. Seems to be an odd compatibility issue with early firmware.Prior to this, I did an uninstall of the radio in device manager and disconnected the radio, went to the RNDIS folder within the Motorola Drivers folder in my C Drive (porg files, Mototrbo etc)and run DPInst.exe reconnected the radio & my laptop could see it. I thought it was fixed now as it worked fine. However, disconnecting the R01.07 radio & connecting it again, I get the yellow triangle and no IP connectivity.Never had problems in all these years but just an issue on this new laptop running Win10 pro.
The other Win10 pro laptop in the workshop is absolutely fine!I had this issue with 22 radios yesterday so I can rule out the particular radio. Many thanks.Richard (G4WFR).
I just bought a Samsung 50' plasma 7000 series TV. (Model PN50C7000YF). I connected it to my home network (wired connection), and downloaded and installed the 'PC share manager' software v4.2 from Samsung's website. Now, every time I turn on my TV, my PC gives me the 'found new hardware' message. It says that it needs to install driver software for my 'Samsung DTV DMR'. The problem is that I haven't been able to find that software anywhere.
My PC's OS is Windows Vista 64-bit.I finally initiated an online chat session with Samsung support. Long story, short version, according to the Samsung support tech is that Samsung doesn't support Vista 64-bit - they only support 32-bit.This is an important detail to know when buying a nearly $2,000 TV which advertises its networking ability. Both PC's in my house run Vista x64. When I asked the Samsung support agent where Samsung discloses the operating system issue, here is what ensued:'Me: thanks, but i can't find any reference to this in the user manual.
Can you tell me where to look please?Samsung:Me: sorry, all i see on this page under the 'software' tab 'is that the PC share manager 4.2 program is for 'win xp/vista'?Samsung: win xp/vista: means Windows XP and Vista.Me: right, and i run vista.Me: where does samsung say that vista x64 is not supported?Samsung: Yes, By Default it is 32 bit.Me: samsung doesn't disclose that. When someone says that they support vista, the implication is that all versions of vista are supported unless stated otherwise.Samsung: Unless mentioned 64 bit, it doesn't mean that it supports 64 bit.' That was that. The support tech said that Samsung will eventually fix this but they don't know when.Until (if?) that time comes, does anyone out there know if a workaround for this driver issue?(PS - Samsung, if you're reading this will you please (1) fix the problem asap and (2) improve your disclosures/caveats about the operating system issue?)Thanks. Running Vista SP 2, 64-bit on one Laptop.Running Win7 Home Premium, 32-bitget Laptop.64 bit Laptop has the same problem as the originator of this thread. I want to join in the numbers of owners of new Samsung HDTV's that cannot find a driver th system is asking for every time the system starts.Note: I installed the PC Share Manager on my WIN 7 laptop and everything worked just as Samsung's how to video shows.
Even there no mention of 32 bit only.NOTE: After installing the All Share Manager on the WIN7, surprise the Samsung does show 64 bit Laptop as a server but I cannot open any files as yet. This exercise of mine confirms the orginators experience and validates that for a 32 bit PC running WIN7 (VISTA's first cousin) the PC Share Manager seems to have the necessary driver because the 32 bit machine never asked for any drivers. It was able to see the TV and share files using Internet@TV and over my PS3. Now I must figure out if the PS3 and the 64 bit laptop can communicate.SAMSUNG must give us a driver. I sure won't replace m bedroom TV with a Samsung if this is not fixed for 64 bit WINDOWS.
I have 32 bit Vista and have the same message. I saw on the Samsung site someone else had the message with 32 bit Vista as well. Therefore, I don't think this is a 64 bit issue. I've installed 'all share' several times to no avail.

The techs at Samsung are clueless. A level 2 tech told me that the problem was in 'my system'. She clearly didn't have any idea of what the 'Found New Hardware' notification in windows even was.The thing is, my TV apppears to be able to access network storage and the PC even though this hardware is not installed. So, I'm not really sure what this driver is supposed to do.However, I'm also having an issue with network storage. I find that if I use USB or a local USB hard drive, then I can watch movies including chaptering, Fast Fowarding, etc. But if I run a movie off of network storage, then I cannot use fast fowarding or even pause. The level 2 supervisor at Samsung invented an answer that fast fowarding would.never.
work on any kind of mass storage because 'it needs to read the whole movie in before it could do that'. Clearly, he was pulling this answer out of one of his darker orifices because it works just fine when on USB. So, if anyone knows what my network storage needs to do or support in order to allow Fast Forwarding and pause when I play movies, I would appreciate suggestions on that as well. I was up all night again.
I did something just to stop the nuisances every time I booted with the driver search. Here's what I did (WIN Vista SP 2, 64-bit):Allow the driver search to run and use the search everywhereOnce the error comes follow the steps to 'stop Windows from looking for this. Again'.Well that was the end of that.I am at the other laptop right now, running WIN 7 so I cannot so easily post the steps accurately.I have not streamed any video to the Samsung. However the media player has a SKIP function along the bottom of the screen on the Samsung. It acts like a jump forward. Use the directional arrows to move along the functions.
I am using a Harmony unified remote and it had worked fine for this in Music play. But first get rid of the nuisance 'Samsung DTV MSR' driver search. Like you said, in spite of it your PC and Samsung networked and shared whatever you have indicated as 'shared folders' on your PC.I now have both laptops looks at each others files, remotely pulling the music library from the WIN 7 laptop to the Library in the Windows Media Player on the WIN Vista laptop. The WINDOWS VISTA machine has also found my PS3 and shows it as an unknown device.
I 'allowed' it and now the libraries are being shared by each to the other as if they all own and have all this content on the drivers.I decided I had better things to do with my Sunday but to call Tier 2 for help. It was just a hunch that I could stop this repeated searching and still have the functionality work between the devices. I did a re-start after performing the STOP instruction and made sure the setting change took.I hope this helps someone. Regarding simply asking Windows to stop looking for the missing drivers, I think this is merely stopping the symptom, but not solving the problem. The issue here is if something is really missing, not just getting rid of the warning box that it's missing. I agree, though, that the functionality seems to work, but then again, I might be missing out on some functionality that I don't yet realize. With respect to using the 'skip' functionality, none of the functions of the remote really work when I use networked storage. That means pause, FF, chaptering.nothing.
All I can do is start from the beginning of the movie and play through to the end. When I bring a movie to the TV on USB or use my USB hard drive directly hooking it to the USB on the TV, then all that functionality works. The manual says something about how this functionality depends on the capability of the network storage server, but gives no indication on what capability it requires. And the tier 2 supervisor has no clue, so I'm probably going to get better answeers from teh general public than from Samsung! You don't need to install PC Share Manager when using XP or Vista. Windows automatically asks you if you want to allow your TV to connect to your computer through 'network sharing'. You can use Windows Media Player to play music and videos through your TV by adding those files you want to access through the TV to the 'public share' folder on your computer and to Windows Media Player's library.
Once you've done that, you can access your music, pictures and videos through your TV unless your computer is off or asleep. The only problem I'm having is that Samsung TV's have a very limited codec library so a lot of media is not supported.
They will not update this either.
The last post has been a while now. I was busy preparing the annual and helping Mischa (PA1OKZ) out with expanding the repeater system. Last week a package arrived from, the distributor for the DV4mini USB stick in the Netherlands and Belgium. Time to start playing around What is the DV4miniThe DV4mini is an micro transceiver for several digimodes. In it’s current version, D-Star, DMR and System Fusion are supported. The developers are working on support for ACPO P25 in the next v1.6 version but since P25 isn’t widely used throughout Europe and I don’t have the gear to test it, no reason to test the released v1.6 beta-software.
The latest supported production version is version 1.4 available. The USB stick should have build in drivers for Windows 7 and upwards. The radio has 10 milliWatts of output power and works on UHF only. Let’s plug it in – Windows 7 (64-bit)According the manual, drivers for Windows 7 will be automatically installed. Unfortunately for me that was not the case. And since drivers for Windows 7 (x64) are not available as download, I had to use the XP version and ignore some errors forcing the driver to install. And yes, the Visual Studio 2013 runtime was installed as 32 bit version before After installing the driver, the program would start up and recognise the stick. Testing D-StarNot tested, yet Testing DMRTo start this test, first thing I have to mention is that the USB stick transmits on TimeSlot 2, Group 9, simplex only.
So be sure to program your terminal according. I tested with the Hytera PD785G portable radio. Second thing to say is that the WorldWide (TS1-1) and domestic (TS1-204) network are not supported (yet). At this moment, only the DMRplus reflectors are supported. This had to do with the DMR backbone infrastructure where every country runs his own master server(s). You do not want every ham to connect to this network.
That would bring instability to the repeaters throughout the country. Maybe later on, the Dutch DMR-master administrator is setting up a 2nd master server dedicated for DV4mini users. He’s more than willing to, but it needs to be supported by the DV4mini software to. Testing System FusionUnfortunately I don’t own any Yaesu equipment supporting the C4FM System Fusion protocol. I might borrow some from one of the fellow hams at the local club to do some tests later on.

You cannot simply walk into ashop, buy DMR equipment and use it straight out of the box. While it is within the capability of an experienced user to program their owngear, we recommend that initially, you ask one of the repeater ownershim/her, where they suggest you get a code-plug as a base to start with, This avoidsany compatibility problems your radio and to the network.
